The use of a moisturizer, during the day, is essential for comprehensive skin care. Perhaps the term “moisturizer” is not extremely  successful, since such a preparation does not hydrate but prevents the skin to lose its natural moist. Of course, any good quality skin care product should nourish, promote skin rejuvenation, be hypoallergenic and non comedogenic.

Since this process can make the skin sensitive to sunlight, products with exfoliators must always used in combination with a sunscreen.
People, being prone to acne, should use moisturizers in moderation and these moisturizers should not be thick. Excessive moist and too much greasiness can clog pilosebaceous units and worsen acne.
A moisturizer must be applied after a bath or a shower, since it will be absorbed better, when the skin is still damp.
